Office 2000 SR-1 upgrade to SR1a or SP3

When I try to install SR1a or SP3, I got the same error
message:

The update program did not locate the expected version of
Microsoft Microsoft Office 2000 on the machine.

We are using Office 2K professional edition and 100% that
is legal copy which installed by Microsoft Select CD, I
rollout it by administration install last 2 years, I got
more then 500 PCs can't install SP3 or SP1a now.

Someone have any idea how to fix it? Thank you very much.

Hi Wai,

Was Office 2000 installed from an Office Admin Point?
If so, have you updated the Admin Point to SP3
with the Office Admin point updates and then recached
the client when you're getting this message?

What version of the MS Installer is on the PCs
where you're seeing this?
