Office 2000 SR1 problem

I have reloaded my PC from scratch, including putting on
my original Office 2000. Now I have been to MS Updates,
and downloaded SR1. When the install starts, though, it
fails. The txt msg says:

"Error: The file, c:\windows\TEMP\sr1patch\{C406FA02-1B0A-
11D4-AED6-00C04F022C53}, has an invalid size.
Error: The Office 2000 SR-1 CD2 Update patch is missing or
invalid.
Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 setup ended prematurely because
of an error."

Any thoughts on how to get out of this?
