Office 2000 to Office 2003

I have Office 2000 Proffessional and I was wondering wether I could save
money by buying Office 2003 Professional Update rather than buying the whole
thing. I do have the right system requirments for Office 2003 and am not sure
wether update means from Office 2000 to Office 2003 or wether it means Office
2003 Small Buisness and updated that to Office 2003 Proffessional please tell
me which is right.

1st. Is Office 2000 that you have is it an OEM version?

There is no problem to use the Upgrade version of Off 2003 Pro if you have Off2000. Just start the install of the Off2003 upgrade and when it asks for the qualifying product you insert the authentic Off 2000 disc. Follow the prompts and you should have no problems. The above depends on whether you have Off 2000 installed at present or not.

If it is a;ready installed (2000) then just use the 2003 suite as an upgrade and if it (2000) is not then follow the above as said.

What version(flavor) of Office 2003 do you have. If it is SBE then it becomes another story. If Off 2003 Pro then no problem
