office 2000 uninstallation

Hasan Mahmood

Does anyone know how to uninstall Office 2000 manually,
i.e. not going through Add/Remove Programs? I have a
problem where my installation of Office seems to be
corrupted so that I can no longer modify or remove it.

Hasan,

I think you can try using the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to "remove"
Office. This will not remove any files, but it should remove the registry
data that makes the Windows Installer think Office is on the machine. Then,
you can do another installation of Office 2000 into the same directory as
the original installation. If you want to remove Office at that point, you
should be able to go through Add/Remove Programs.

Hope this helps.
