office 2000 update asks for data1.msi

hello everyone,
i am running office 2000 sr1 pro and when i try to
use the microsoft office update page it asks for the
data1.msi file on the office 2000 sr1 pro cd. i already
have that cd installed but it can't find the file. when i
browse and select the data1.msi file it comes back with a
message saying that is not the correct file. i know its
the correct one because if i insert that cd into another
system it trys to install it and identifies the program as
office 2000 sr1 professional. why does the system reject
the cd? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
