Office 2000 update error

I keep trying to install the office updates and KB931660, KB947361, KB944425
and KB943990 keep failing to install. Any suggestions. I even tried to do
this in safe mode.

What is the error (s) shown.

Peter, the only display I get is a box that say:

Installation Result

Installation Unsuccesful:
Security Update for Word 2000 (KB943990)
Security Update of Office 2000 (KB944425)
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2000 (KB947361)
Security Update for Microsoft Office 2000 Web Components (KB931660)


All there is is to click on the Finish button and then I do send the reports
to Microsoft for the failure.


You may be prompted to submit an installareion error report to Microsoft
when you exit the Wizard.

Have you tried to download each one separately (manually) and then install the file one at a time

Yes I have and I get the same message type... this even happened in safe
mode.

Did you use some kind of Registry Tool lately. Office Update also gives these error's? When downloading the update files are you by any chance scanning with your Anti Virus at the same time ?

Nope no kind of registry tool at all. I am running AVAST anti-virus, but
when in safe mode, shouldn't that have not been running???
