Office 2000 Update SP 3

Had the same problem. Appears that something we did
recently unregistered the Windows Installer service. See
KB article 315346. This provides a quick fix that worked.

Greg, this is not my problem. I solved it though. See
knowledge base article 302399. You have to disable Norton
AV auto protect.
I did this and rebooted and reloaded all the updates and
they all installed perfectlly.
