I have windows 98 and office 2000. Yesterday I ran an office update. I
started the update and then left the computer. When I returned to my computer
it had locked up and I had to reboot it. When it restarted I got the
following message:
Cannot find file 'hpfsched' and that there may be errors, etc. Also got one
that said it could not load 'hpfsched' in the win.ini file.
When I start Outlook I get one that says: Path specified for the file
C:\windows\local settings\application data\microsoft outlook\outlook.pst not
valid.
Plus Items on desktop are no longer there.
IS There a way to uninstall the update done yesterday? Can I go in and
delete those files? I don't want to lose any data. right now it looks as
though I have lost the past month
