Office 2000 updates on Vista.

I purchased a new Vista Business machine for the office. I'm testing all our
current products for compatibility.
One thing I've encountered, and maybe there is a work around, is we are
still using Office 2000 (a $60K outlay to upgrade to 2003/2007 isn't feasible
at the moment). When I try to update my Office 2000, it seems that I have to
do each of the 17 patches manually.
Is this the case, or am I missing something.
Thanks,
Charlie

Hi Charlie,

If you're using a volume license edition of MS Office 2000 for multiple machines you could apply the updates to the Admin Point
before deploying, but otherwise you'd apply the suggested updates to the individual computers.

Office 2000 was re-released in two editions after the original, so if you have the Office 2000 SR2 (Service Release 2) edition,
which includes the updates to that point, the updates you need to apply will be fewer.

Hello there. This answers what I was looking for too, thanks.

But, how can I know which updates have been applied to my Office 2000
installation? Or do I just keep trying them until I hit the "not yet done"
ones?

Thanks,
Frank
