Office 2000 updates will not install.

After individually downloading and installing the following office updates
for 3/14/2006, I get an error message saying, "Office 2000 updates cannot be
applied", for KB905553 (Word 2000), KB905757 (Excel 2000), KB905646 (Outlook
2000.)

All previous updates and Service Pack 3 are current. I do have the
original Office 2000 CD, and have not had problems in the past with keeping
all updates current. Sometimes I get an error message that there are missing
..MSI files that cannot be found on the CD, nor on my PC.

Do you think that the Windows Installer needs to be updated, or replaced?
If so, how?

Running Windows 2000 Pro.
