Had to do a "clean install" of Win XP, including SP1
Did this by reformatting HD and re-installing everything.
When Office 2000 got to asking for qualifying product, I
simply inserted CD from Office ver 7.0 which, it seems to
me worked the last time I had to re-install everything.
Now it won't acknowledge the ver 7.0 CD and I am stuck.
The ver 7.0 was an upgrade from an ancient Word Perfect
floppy program. Those floppys are long gone, so I can't
even install ver 7.0 and try to upgrade from the full
program.
All I have is the various upgrade CD's from over the
years. Simply inserting the CD works for re-installing
the operating system upgrades rather than doing the whole
install of the earlier version.
What am I doing wrong???
Help please!!!
Thanks
