Office 2000 - upgrading problem

I have a MS copy of Office 2000 I am trying to do
the upgrades
on a new laptop. I de-installed the OEM Works
Suite that came
with the laptop and installed my Ofc 2000. Now I
want to do
the upgrades. Problem I'm having is when I try to
do SR2, it's
telling me I need SR1. However, when I put in the
SR-1 patch
disk I order from MS, it tells me SR-1 is already
installed. So
where do I go from here so I can get updated.

I'm using WinXP Sp2 Media Edition on the new
laptop.

In Word>Help>About what version/sp is shown?
And if you visit & run Office update what does it show as critical?
