Office 2000 vs. Office XP

We are getting new workstations in our office. Our o/s
will be XP and 17 users will be utilizing Office 2000
software and 3 users will be utilizing Office XP. Are
these compatible? Is this going to cause a problem on the
network with the transferring of shared files and
documents? Also, will this cause any printing problems?
Any information would be appreciated.
