I cannot uninstall Office 2000 Professional. When I try
from Add/Remove Programs... it says the feature I am
trying to use needs to be loaded from disk. When I insert
Disc 1 of Microsoft Office Professional, it says:
The file 'Microsoft Office 2000 Professional' is not a
valid installation packatge for the product Microsoft
Office Professional. Try to find the installation
package 'data1.msi'.
When I manually point to data1.msi, it still complains and
gives roughly the same error message.
I tried using the Eraser2000 utility, even though the
uninstall never completed, this did not help matters.
Where can I go next, I am ready to try a manual delete of
all office folders and registry cleanup but want to know
if there are other options and some sort of comprehensive
guide, other than 'Just use Eraser 2000 to solve your MS
Office install problems'
Thanks,
Casey
