Office 2000 wont reinstall after Eraser

My win98 recently crashed and I had to reinstall Win98.
Of course Office 2000 was hosed up, but it will not
reinstall. When you try to run setup, I get a dialog
box 'Windows Installer Preparing to install...' but then
it disappears and nothing happens. I've tried rebooting
and retrying with no avail. Any ideas?
