When I try to open Microsoft Word (2000) I get the
message 'Microsoft Word for Windows has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience.' When I send the error report I am unable
to get any results. The app name and mod name are both
winword.exe. The version is 9.0.0.8216 and the offset is
0039f580. All updates have been applied including all
security updates. I have deleted the normal.dot file,
repaired Office, removed and reinstalled Office all with
no luck. My client was working on a file and was in th
eprocess of closing it when the coputer locked up. Ever
since this error has occured. Excel and Outlook open
without any problem. This is the small business version
running on Windows XP. This has been running fine for
several months so there shouldn't be any compatibility
issues with hardware or any other installed software.
