Office 2000/XP

I am a vb.net developer and it appears I need the object libraries for XP
and 2000 to be present on my system for some things to work. I am getting my
copy of Office 2003 and I am assuming I will need to install that along side
of everything else.(sigh).

Anyway when I attempt to install Office 2000 next to XP it replaces the XP
programs and causes all sorts of registry errors.

How can I do this?

I am using Windows XP Pro.

You can install them both using this article:

Although this configuration is not recommended by Microsoft, here is an
article that may help you limit potential issues that this may cause.
(Although it specifically mentions Access, the same concept applies for
Office.)

Do you know if there is a way to just get a hold of the object library for a
particular office product without installing it?

I'm not in your league, Scorpion, but can you tell me - what is "...next to
XP?

Thanks in advance,

Ed

if you are referring to an object library it is what allows developers to
write code for programs against office programs. I guess the best way to
explain it is that it allows communcation between third party programs and
Microsoft Office.

They also can be a giant pain in the < !! > :).....
