office 2000

When open a program in office 2000 such as, word or excel,
it opens but then it seems to freeze. I control, alt,
delete and get a not responding message. What can I do?!!!

You may have a virus, do you have anti virus software
installed on your machine.

The first thing I would do is use the offiec disc you
have and try running 'detect and repair' that will appear
when you put the disc into the machine and it eventaully
spins up. If not I would then try and reinstall it but
make sure you back up your work first.
