office 2000

I am not sure if this is going thru. I have office 2000 for all my
documents, yet when I try to open one it asks me for the product id for
office 2003. What is wrong and how can I fix this? Do I need to upgrade to
office 2003 or 2007?

You obviously have some Office 2003 program on your system. Check in
Add/Remove programs.
