I'm having a similar problem - error 1933
I am trying to install Office 2000 Premium on a computer
running =
Windows 2000 Pro (Service Pack 3) and I am getting the
1933 error =
message...

'the windows installer service cannot update 1 or more of
protected =
windows files'

I've scanned all the MS technical database and the forum
and tried several things, with no joy. If you find a
solution, I would be grateful if you could pass it on
