Office 2002: Importing Excel into Access

I use Access on a regular basis and I am always importing
Excel files. I tried doing it today and got the following
error message:

Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object
(file name). Make sure the object exists and that you
spell its name and path name correctly.

I don't understand this at all. I just created the excel
file and the name and path are correct. Could someone
please help!
