Office 2002 Service pack 1 will not install

I crashed my HD and replaced. Installed Office 2002 again but service pack 1
will not install. I am getting a inkling that MS has disabled that! How can I
update my Office 2002 which works just great for me and I have No need or
desire to upgrade.
I can understand if MS wants to stop active support but at least give users
an avenue to maintain.
Any ideas?
