Office 2003 aborts with error 1304

Office 2003 in XP all of a sudden started trying to install something and
came up with error 1304 verify access. Came up while trying to access
Outlook. Could not cancel. Had to turn off computer. Removed Office and
reinstalled with cd's--came up with same error and aborted the install. I
have admin access. How do I get past the error and re-install Office 2003?

Also Try copying the media to your hard drive and try the installation.

we have this issue and get it wetherwe try to run the media from the cd, or
our harddrive even tried a new cd and copying that to our harddrive, as well
as downloading the trial version from the trial website and stil lget the
error.


we got around one error by renaming a folder and it started to move on now
it is failing on a font file and i can't rename the font folder. have the
same issue on any of 3 pc's.


any other ideas
