I have a Word 2003 document (.doc) with an embedded Excel 2003 spread
sheet (.xls) that I created with Office Small Business Edition 2003 running
on Windows XP Professional. We recently got some new computers at work with
Office Small Business Edition 2007 running on Windows Vista Business. When I
open up the Word 2003 document on the new computers (with Word 2007), the
fonts on the embedded excel spread sheet are not the same size when viewed on
the screen or when printed out (even though when I check the font size the
number for the font size has not changed). Also, the embedded Excel document
is set to print out the grid lines, and extra grid lines are printed out in
the 2007 software. I did default the new 2007 Office software to
"compatibility mode" and also set the style in the 2007 Office software to
2003 Office. This did not fix the problems. I'm not sure if the problem is
from the upgraded Office version, the new operating system Vista, or both.
Could the version of the fonts be different? Any help would be much
appreciated.
