Office 2003 and 2007

2003 office is on my computer. I also installed 2007. When I open a word doc
created using 2003, it opens in 2007. Same with a power point presentation.
How can I open things in just 2003?

Simplest method is to open the 2003 component, then open the doc via file
open.
Was there a specific reason for installing 2007 on parallel?
