Are files created with Office 2003 Professional (all
products) compatible in both directions with Office 2000
Professional?

Office 2000 -> Office 2003 ? Should be

Office 2003 -> Office 2000 ? Save as using Office 2003 in Office 2000 format. Then yes.

Hi David,

With the exception of Access the file format has not changed since
Office 97. So yes, files created in Office 97 - Office 2003 can be
opened and modified in any version since there isn't a conversion
issue.

Note some features were introduced in later versions so files may
display a little differently when created in a later version but
opened in an earlier version.

As for Access, you can create an Access 2000 file format in Access
2003 and modify it in Access 2000 - Access 2003.
