Office 2003 Applications Not Properly Rendering on Secondary Monit

J

JasonPoole

Having problems with Visio and other Office applications correctly rendering
embedded objects on a secondary display. The control points seem to be there,
but the affected rectangle does not refresh correctly, so the document
appears degraded.

We are using a combination of several different video cards, some with only
one DVI and one SVGA, some with two DVI's with the two monitors on individual
ports. All show the same symptoms.

We are also serving these applications via a Citrix server. However, we have
done a local installation at my desk, and the symptoms persist.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

JP.

No takers on this one? Something I didn't explain well enough? Questions?

My management would really like to have this figured out. And I am at a
brick wall..!!

Try reducing any hardware display acceleration, on your display card
setup menus.
That's all I can thnik of for now.

The obvious one is to ensure that you have the latest drivers and patches
installed. The last two versions of ATI drivers have added much better
support for multi gpu / multi display performance. The last vista sp1 rc1
refresh also corrected some issues.
