Hello,
I have a strange problem here. After a new server install everyone
connected to the network is experiencing a 45 sec lag time while trying to
open documents. These docs could be located on the server, or on the
desktop...and word, access, excel....all office 2003 takes 45 seconds to
open. Unhooking the network cable fixes the issue and docs on that machine
open in a split second....however, network connectivity is a must!
I think a work around fix might be something to do with a network timeout
feature in office2003 where it's looking for something....cant find it after
45 seconds and times out....then opens the doc. Does anyone know where i can
find this registry key?
Through some research i've found that it might be related to templates that
were on the old server.....i've tried a few steps that were popular on google
but they did not work.
Has anyone seen this?
