Office 2003 Backward Compatibility

Hi All,
Silly question, but does anyone know the backward compatibility of Office
2003 products:-
ie If I create Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Access items in 2003, can I open
them in equivalent Office 97 and Office 2000.

I know I can do it the other way ie create in Office 97 and open in 2003.

Any/All help appreciated.

To simplify, you Save As the downgrade version, and then there isn't a
problem.

Sorry to be a numbnut, but if you use Office 2003 to open a doc/spreadsheet
created in Office 97 and then save it, will it save it in the old format as
long as you don't add any 2003 specific bits to it?
