Office 2003 backwards compatibility

John van Lieshout

Dear all,

I was wondering if anyone has yet had any problems concerning Office 2003's
backwards compatibility towards Office 2000/XP? I presume standard Office
2003 documents such as .DOC and .XLS can easily be opened using Office
2000/XP and visa versie?

I need to know a bit more about this topic, since our company is planning on
merging from Office 2000/XP to Office 2003. Any help, tips or info is very
much welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

So far I haven't run into any problems reading older word, excel and
powerpoint documents.

YOu may want to ask in an Access group about backwards compatibility. I
know that each version used a different system from 97 through XP (2002)
but, since I don't use Access, I can't advise.

The experts hang out in the Access groups so going there would be a good
idea.
