Office 2003 beta shorcut bar problem

Bob

I am running Office 2003 beta (tech refresh level). I
knew it didn't include the shortcut bar from prior
versions, but I was able to run it by copying the
office10 directory from an older version install into the
2003 Office directory and get it to work. This worked on
two systems, but not a third for reasons I can't figure
out. While experimenting on a system that was working, I
closed the shortcut bar and when it asked if I want to
load the shortcut bar when restarting I said 'no.' Now I
can't figure out how to get it back. Executing the
shortcut in the startup folder does nothing. The shortcut
bar works for another user on the same system (XP). Where
might a setting be stored for this?

TIA

Hi Bob,

To have any part of Office XP work reliably on the
PC you'll need to install rather than copy the program.
