Office 2003 Beta update...

Marcus

Hi !

I unfortunately had to re-install the complete Office
2003 Beta " kit because of a hardware crash...

And now, I can't update the beta because, on the
Microsoft office site, it says : NO update are required
for your Office software...

It's critical for me because I have saved all e-mails and
contacts, calendarts entries from import and ezport and
now, I can't re-import because the feature is not there
on the Beta 2...

I NEED the Beta RCII URGENTLY ! Can somebody help me
please ???

Thanks for your help !

Hi Marcus,

The Office 2003 refresh for Beta 2 can be downloaded
from http://microsoft.com/downloads by searching for
'2003' or 'office 2003', depending on which beta
products you want to update.

hi bob [& narcus],

My prob is similar in nature except that I've already
downloaded the Beta 2 Technical Refresh and have problem
in installing this Technical Refresh. I've summarised my
problem as below. Please help.

I used to update my Beta 2 of Office 2003 from microsoft
download page. [For some reasons, I unstalled and
installed office 2003 Beta 2]. When I scan for updates,
the message says " Your system do not require any
updates".

So, I decided to use the file that I downloaded earlier
(opsetup.exe). [Marcus, you can download it from here -->
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?
displaylang=en&familyid=37f9d6b2-8354-4dda-b86b-
cf9ce8616d98 or
http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/6/6/66696dc4-
ca23-4e6e-8a3e-32c3d17c8e11/opsetup.exe ]

However, when I Installed, the following
message appears:
"Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low
memory [low disk space for swapping file] or corrupted
cabinet file".

I think that it is not due to corrupted cabinet file as
I've
earlier installed using the same opsetup.exe. It could be
due to the other possibility that "low memory"?. Not sure!

Any advise to overcome this? please help. Thanks in
advance.
