Office 2003- can't insert clip art!

D

Dale

When trying to use the "Insert Clip Art" procedure, I get an error
that says it can't create a picture from the file. But I can use the
"Insert File" process with no problem. This occurs in Power Point and
Word- haven't tried others yet. Ran the "Detect and Repair", but no
luck. Prefer to use the "Insert Clip Art" process since it brings up
the Clip Organizer and allows a search by name or subject of all
cataloged clip art. The Office 2003 was installed with the "Run all
from my computer" options and replaced a previous Office 2000
installation.

Also, would like to be able to get back the clip art that was in O2K-
it had a lot more than 2003 has.

Any help will be appreciated.

1> Can you describe, step-by-step, what you're doing, and where the process
fails?
2> Office2003 automatically uses Internet Clip Art. There are 130000 clips
on the Internet, including the vast majority of the 20,000 or so that
shipped with Office 2000.

Open a MS Office program- Word or Power Point. Choose "Insert Clip Art".
Search for clip art using the Clip Organizer that opens on the right.
Right-lick on the desired picture and choose "Insert". It "thinks" for a
few seconds and then pops up a message saying it can't create a picture from
the file.

I can locate the same file on the hard drive and use the "Insert File"
routine and it inserts as expected.
