Office 2003, Excel, Word hangs on paste from web page

Since upgrade to SP2 version of Office 2003 my Word and Excel applications
hang when trying to complete a paste operation of data copied from a web page
in Internet Explorer version 6. Anyone know why or how to correct?

OS: Windows XP SP2, Home
Hardware: HP a610
AV: Norton Internet Security 2005

Empty your Internet temporary cache, see if that makes a difference. In Internet
Explorer, tools, Internet Options, delete files.

Thanks for your suggestion but that did not solve the problem. I did notice
that as long as I remain connected to the Internet, the HTML paste operation
will not complete. But if I disconnect from the Internet, or paste as text,
the operation will complete. The problem is either with Office 2003 SP2 or in
the way it interacts with the antivirus software. I thinks it's the SP2
upgrade. Someone at Microsoft reading this? Any suggestions?
