office 2003 failed to install

I had a virus on my computer. A message from Microsoft Office Professional
2003 kept coming up to resinstall. I cleaned everything...ran AVG, SpyBot,
Adaware, Microsoft AntiSpyWare, CCCleaner, HijackThis. That didn't solve the
problem. I uninstalled Offce and reinstalled Microsoft installer. I tried
to reinstall office, but it wants my XP Home Edition CD. My PC only came
with the restore disk, which doesn't work. I tried doing a system restore
from before the problem and that failed also. My XP updates fail now too.

The OEM should have supplied you with the installation CDs for Windows
XP. Have you tried contacting them to request a copy?

I only received the restore CD from Insignia. I tried doing a custom install
of Office 2003 to only install Excel and Word. Both of them work now, but
I'm getting the message again that Please wait while Windows installs
Microsoft Office 2003 Professinal Edition.
