Office 2003 Files Don't Open

When I try to open any of my Word, Excell, etc. files, I get a statement that
says my anti-virus won't let me open the file. I'm using Zone Security Suite
and it is up to date. The only knowledge article, 835404, says I need to
update my anti-virus definitions. I've tried everything including removing
and reinstalling Office, but nothing works. Last week everything worked
fine, so I suspect it was a recent security update.

Have you tried removing your antivirus program. When my wife experienced a
problem like this, the AV, Adadwar and Spybot showed no problems. The
solution was to remove Norton Systemworks then everything started working.
We no longer use Norton, switched to EXArmor and have not had a problem in
a year.
