Office 2003 install broke Canon digital camera software

Hello.
Several of our users have Canon digital camera software installed on their
Windows 2000 PC's. Ever since upgrading to Office 2003, the Canon software
won't recognize when you plug in the camera via USB. Is this a known issue,
and if so, is there a fix?
