Office 2003 Install Cannot Find .CAB File

M

Mark

Trying to install Office 2003 Student edition on a new
Dell Dimension 2400 running Windors XP Home Edition. All
Windows Updates installed. Receive Installation Error
message (no number) looking for "yt561401.cab", asking me
to insert my original installation disk which it is
reading from, or browse for installation site, I presume
on some network, which I am not on.

I cannot locate my exact issue in the knowledge base.
Please help. The machine and my freshman go off to
college real soon.

Hi,

The most likely cause to this is a possible corrupt Windows profile.
Create a new user, and the try the install again.
