I have just bought Office 2003 Pro (unopened retail version with COA and
Product Key) and want to upgrade from Office 2000 on a Windows Vista
computer.
When I insert the new CD, the 'Upgrade' option does not appear -- why
doesn't it recognise that a previous version of Office is installed?
I don't want to keep Office 2000, except that I do want to keep macros,
templates and other settings from Office 2000, especially for Word and
Excel. How can I be sure that these will be retained if there is no Upgrade
option?
If I use one of the other options (eg, Complete Install or Custom Install),
should I uninstall Office 2000 first? If I do that, again -- how do I
retain the existing macros, templates etc?
I want to install Office 2003 on my desktop and on my laptop (Windows XP).
I'm the only person who uses these computers, but the Office 2003
instructions imply that I may not be able to install it on both. What
process do I have to go through to activate it on both computers?
Hope this all makes sense -- thanks in advance for your help.
