Office 2003 installation

I purchased a copy of Office 2003 Pro. I installed on three machines, with
Office 97 without any difficulty, and registered. All applications run good.
But on the third machine, I can run Access without any problem, but when I
run Word, Excel or PowerPoint a wizard comes up referencing Office Standard
and is asking for a product key. Why did this happen and how can I correct it?

You cannot install Office Pro on 3 computers. Assumng it was a retail
version, you are limited to one desktop and one laptop, both of which you
are the sole user.

I in fact DID install my version of Office Professional Edition 2003 on
three machines, and DID register them. The disk did recognize the fact that I
was installing on more than one machine. The problem, as I indicated was the
third installation will not allow me to run Excel, Word or Powerpoint without
providing a product key.

That's kind of gruff. I in fact DID install my version of Office Professional

So, perhaps someone should have said that you MAY NOT LEGALLY install it on
three systems. Hopefully that's more clear. (I'm reminded of my ten-year-old
son who may someday be an excellent attorney because he insists on holding
me to the letter the words that come out of my mouth...)

Just because you "can" doesn't mean you should, nor does it mean it will
work. And if you are obviously breaking the law, responsible folks on these
forums are not likely to help you figure out how to make it work.

Registration means nothing, it has to be activated with a product key, and
legally you can only activate on two PC's
