I am working on a server for a company that wants people to be able to
remote desktop in and run office and some other programs and nothing
else. Using the instructions from:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278295
I have locked down a test group with a test user. The test user is
unable to run any office 2003 program such as word or excel. I have
not configured restrictions on drive access because I thought it might
cause a problem with office. As it is currently, I have the following
error message when I attempt to open any office program:
"This feature is currently unavailable. For more information, contact
your system administrator."
I have not been able to find any more details about the error through
event viewer. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what group
policy is keeeping office from functioning properly. I know it's
something in the group policy because only the test user in the test
group has this problem. Anyone else can remote desktop in and run
office with no problems.
