Office 2003 Local Installation Source and Service Pack 1

M

Mbelsley

I am trying to Install Office 2003 using the Local Installation Source Option
in an XP image. Can anyone tell me how I can include Service Pack 1 in the
installation.

I would like to include the Service Pack 1 MSP in the MSOCache files and
setup a transform to run it after every feature addition and repair.

Thank you

Hi Mike,

When deploying you can use an Office Admin Point or
you can use the MSO Cache (Local Installation Source).
LIS installs from an uninstalled, compressed image.

You can create a transform to use an LIS and chain
SP1 for Office 2003 using OHotfix to apply SP1.

See if this presentation helps you. The LIS best practices
start at around slide #39 if I recall correctly.
