Office 2003 - "New Office Document" not working

After installing Office 2003 (Had to uninstall Office XP
first), the "New Office Documents" will open the dialog
box, but when you select any template, nothing happens.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling that feature
from the CD (per some support document), but to no avail.

Everything else works, but this is a minor annoyance that
is bothering me to no end...

Any help would be appreciated
