Posted this message earlier and it disappeared. If I deleted it please tell
me how for future reference of what NOT to hit. Also posted under Office
General Questions. Just cut and paste, sorry.

Problem: Loaded CA eTrust on 02/03. Had problem with iExplore not wanting
to connect, going in a loop but excluded BHO files and all worked fine.
Downloaded MS Office SP2 updates on 02/20/06. Have MS Office Small Bus.
Edition 2003. (Excel, Word, Publisher, MS Office Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
All programs will work fine offline. Once I connect to internet they "hang"
immediately. Not responding and will not clear through task manager. Error
report will send but program won't close. Once I disconnect from internet
programs will close out properly. I have to reboot however in order to get
another network connection.

I have exhausted all efforts. CHKDKS ran from C: per Gateway to fix any
errors. I have restored and repaired MS Office about 8 times. I have
totally uninstalled office and deleted updates then reinstalled with no fix.
Uninstalled eTrust, purchased Norton IS. Ran scans, etc.

The only error messages I have seen were 1) sysfader.iexplore.exe
application error, the insturction @ "0x7c901010" referenced memory @
0x0000001c the memory could not be "read" and 2) microsoft visual c++ runtime
library buffer overrun detcted program c:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE a buffer run ahs been detected which has corrupted the
programs internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and
must now be terminated. Both of these cleared after running chkdsk. The
only other error I see regularlly is when I have to disconnect from network
and try to dial up again. Error 50: all devices are connected the request is
not supported. I then have to restart in order to connect again.

Would greatly greatly appreciate any assistance. Running Windows XP. Lost
4 days of work so far. I saw where 'wally' fixed his problem supposedly by
baking up files to CD. I did that too to no avail.

Thank you so much!!! Turning flips (so far). Could not get hijack-this to
download. I thought I had cleared all BHOs last week but apparently not. I
do have and have had spyware, adblocker, etc. etc. and have been scanning,
but nothing was caught except BHO files, but not all of them. There was
still MyWebSearch lurking.

Went to Control Panel, Add/Remove Hardware, uninstalled toolbars, downloaded
AdAware, scanned, I did not register at that tiem but went to My computer,
Program files, AdAware alert, printed SpyLog and deleted them myself.

So far and on a couple tests everthing worked fine. Even reconnected to
internet without having to reboot! Mr. Foldes you are a godsend! (See
response below from "Peter Foldes)

Sorry. Thought I was doing good. Fix did not work however. Spybot picked up
a few extra but problem still exists.
