Wondering if someone can give some pointer on helping solve this odd crashing
behaviour on one of my users desktop.
All Clients run as limited users and office is all configured through group
policies.
Only one of my users is experiencing a constant crash trying to open certain
contacts. It seems to be contacts that have websites attached to their info.
Outlook will crash when the user tries to double click to open the contact.
appname: outlook appversion: 11.0.8217.0 appstamp 480f95d9
modname: ntdll.dll modver: 5.1.2600.5512 modstamp: 4802a12c
fDebug: 0 Offset: 00017f0c
It doesn't end there though.
Inside word, if he tries to open certain documents and then go to save the
document, word will crash in a similar manner with similar error.
Faulting application winword.exe, version 11.0.8227.0, stamp 486d648f,
faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, stamp 4802a12c, debug? 0,
fault address 0x00017f0c.
I have tried many things to resolve the issue, including removing and
re-installing the app with SP3 for office 2003.
Short of re-imaging the laptop, I am really stuck for other things to try to
resolve the issue.
Any suggestions woudl be appreciated.
