Hi Folks,
Hope someone can answer this for me. I noticed someone else touch on the
subject but there was no solution posted anywhere.
We have 150 new laptops that are being setup for a particular job. In
addition to a load of other software and a very specific configuration, i am
supplying the laptops with Office 2003 Pro (OEM).
We are trying to setup the first laptop how we need it and then will be
using norton ghost to copy this to the other laptops. Everything is sorted
except making sure that office has the correct cd keys.
I can install office using one of the cd keys before replicating it with
ghost and i was hoping that the sysprep tool for windows would remove the cd
key and prompt for it next time office was run. This does not happen.
I notice that for office XP there is something called oem.bat in the
resource kit but i cannot find anything similar in the 2003 kit.
Can anyone tell me how i remove the office cd key after installation but
before i take an image? Alternatively, can i install office without a key so
that it prompts for a key on first use?
Any idea's would be very much appreciated.
