Office 2003 => Office XP

I am having to remove Office 2003 (because it is incompatible with Symantec
Winfax) and retreat to Office XP. Before I do this, are there any
complicated issues I should be aware of?

Don't forget to save your pst file (if you use one) in the Office 2000/2002
format.

Thanks - I already forgot to do that, so will have to reinstall 2003 then go
back again. This really confirms to me to never again upgrade any
software!!!

You're wasting your time - the dealer won't give you a refund (but I've
already told you this - you just appear not to be listening).

OK, I'm back to Outlook 2002 now and have got all my data back. Only problem
is in the Outlook 2002 Navigation pane, on "folder list", I now have my good
pst file but also the "bad" pst files from Outlook 2003. How can I delete
these? When I click on the files to expand them, I get the message "cannot
open file" (except in more complicated jargon - but that is what it is
telling me)

I have been into "data file management" and the 2003.pst files are not
recognised so I cannot delete them. If I delete them in explorer, then they
still appear in the Outlook navigation pane.

Any clues anybody?

Nah, really just shows you should do your homework BEFORE upgrading (and
downgrading)

Easiest thing to do would be to create a new profile from scratch. You can
do this via Control Panel | Mail | Show Profiles.
