Office 2003 on a Celeron notebook?

All the Office software packages insist that Office 2003 requires a
minimum of a Pentium processor.

The notebook I'm about to buy has a Celeron 2.8GHz chip. Can I safely
run Office 2003 (SBE or Standard/Basic) on this machine despite the
recommended minimum requirements? Or must I scramble to find an extra
$150 or so for a Pentium machine?

Any advice would be appreciated.

It should run fine on your machine, just as it runs fine
on Athlon machines.
