B

Barbara Jo

I don't know what happen, but when I have any program in Office 2003 open I
can't open any files. My screen freezes and I am not able to do anything. I
could open from Explorer, but now I can't. Also, when I use Internet
Explorer, I use to be able to type in for example..www.gtc.edu and hit enter.
Now it does nothing. I have to put http:// in front of the www and then
only sometimes does it work.
Help!!!!!

Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell after you install
security update MS06-015 (15 Apr-06)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/918165

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-015.mspx has
been revised to v1.1 to reflect the issues in KB918165 and now points
to the KB918165.

Now may not be the time to learn Regedit.
I suggest you use a .reg file already done for the purpose.

http://patch-info.de/WinXP/Downloads/KB908531_Share-To-Web.zip

Unzip it, extract the .reg file to a folder, right-click it and select
Merge and confirm when asked.
