Office 2003 Picture Manager

A question about where pictures are stored. In my computer they are stored
in My Pictures, and Picture Manager is just a means for opening and working
on said pictures. A friend (that I help often with computer questions) says
she scanned in a picture and couldn't find it in My Pictures, but did find
it (along with a lot of other pictures) in Picture Manager. Why the
difference? And which is the better way?

Hi Joy,

Picture Manager can show the pictures in any folder on your PC. The way you choose to organize your photos into folders/subfolders
etc is basically just what works best for you :)

Depending on how she did the scan the scanner software may have a different default (or 'last used') folder than 'My Pictures'.
